QA Tester
We are seeking a full-time, contract QA Tester with a strong console background. The candidates should be familiar with the basic debugging tools (Unreal Console, Target-Manager, sifting thru crash logs).Ideal candidates will have UE3 Editor experience, as well as multiple console experience (360, PC, PS3). Our testers will work with the Dev Team to verify that functionality exists as designed. Our testers will also assist the Dev Team in clarifying bugs/requests from external parties.
Responsibilities:
* Work with the QA Lead to support the Dev Team with internal tasks.
* Work with the Dev Team to reproduce/add more information to Bugs as necessary.
* Work with the Dev Team to test stability, TCR's, and prepare for milestones.
Qualifications:
* Has shipped a title in the industry in the last 4 years.
* Has experience working with debugging tools and logs
* Ability to work unusual hours and/or unsupervised
* Bonus: Experience with the UE3 Editor
* Bonus: Experience in Software Engineering/Development
* Bonus: Fluency in French, Italian, German, Spanish
Gameplay Engineer
We are currently seeking an engineer with a strong video game development background. Candidates should be will be well versed in the Unreal 3 code base or similar game engines. Candidates should be passionate about games and the gameplay systems that go into making them. Candidates will work closely with designers to implement various gameplay systems. Candidates should have a strong software engineering background with a good sense of system design and architecture. Candidates should also be well versed in current and "next" generation games and they should have a strong passion for creating and playing them.
Responsibilities:
* Work with our the lead engineer to architect and implement various game systems
* Develop game system supporting documentation - both technical design documentation and user documentation.
* Work with our designers to design and implement various gameplay systems
Qualifications:
* Experience with the Unreal Engine 3 code base or equivalent game engine
* Has shipped at least 2 titles in the inudstry or 2+ years of game development experience with a major platform or game engine
* Solid understanding of gameplay and game systems
Character Artist
We are looking for an experienced and passionate character artist to help develop and execute the characters for our upcoming first person title. Candidates should be extremely capable in Maya, Zbrush (or MudBox) and Photoshop and capable of developing highly accurate normal maps from high poly models. Candidates should also be capable 2D character concept artists able to develop character ideas and sketch them out before modeling them. Ideal candidates will also have experience rigging and weighting characters, managing textures efficiently and researching and developing new methodologies and software to create high quality characters.
Responsibilities:
* Develop AAA quality characters for our upcoming shooter title
* Produce highly accurate normal maps derived from high poly models
* Efficiently manage textures and polycounts and to work within the constraints established by engineering and the Art Lead
* Research and develop new technologies and methodologies to ensure that our characters are competitive and AAA
* Concepting character ideas and looks before modeling them
Qualifications:
* Fluent in Maya, Zbrush (or MudBox) and Photoshop (or similar 2D editor)
* Passionate and driven worker who completes assignments on time
* Experience in developing for Unreal Engine 3
* Strong character concepting skills
* Familiar with and capable of rigging and weighting characters
