Zombie is seeking level designers, 3D artists and C/C++ programmers with a passion for games and game development for Xbox/Xbox360, PS2/PS3 and PC projects in development.
Programmers
Zombie is seeking experienced Unreal Engine software engineers. Game programmers who have shipped at least one title using the Unreal Engine are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Strong C/C++ skills
- CS degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
- A love of FPS games
Texture Artist
Zombie is seeking a Lead Texture Artist for next gen game production. Candidates should have experience in creating normal, specular, diffuse and effects maps. Must be proficient in generating normal maps from multiple sources: 3D models, conversion of height maps, photo manipulation, etc.
Qualifications:
- Expert in Photoshop, familiarity with 3DSMax and Unreal
- Experience creating textures for next-gen games (normal, diffuse, spec)
- Game industry experience preferred, but a Photoshop power-user with a burning desire to make games is great
- Texture artists should include texture images and shots of mapped textures in their portfolio
Preference to applicants with:
- Shipped-title experience
- Experience working within console memory limitations
- Familiarity with Unreal technology art pipeline
- Related skills, such as modeling, skinning, animation, concepting
- BFA in Painting/3D art or similar background/traditional training

Level Designers
Our level designers work closely with 3D Artists and programmers to create exciting and visually compelling single player and multiplayer levels for first person action games. Designers focus on integrating game systems with 3d art to achieve immersion and gripping gameplay
Qualifications
- Thorough command of one or more FPS level editors (UnrealEd, Radiant, Dedit)
- Recent experience developing engaging game levels for current or next-gen consoles
- Strong game design skills; an ability to articulate the strengths and weaknesses of modern games; knowledge of the necessary skills and techniques for making exciting FPS gameplay
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Professional attitude
- Mature work ethic; ability to take direction, work independently AND be a team player
- Traditional art skills a plus
3D Artists
3D artists at Zombie Studios must have a keen eye for detail. Must be able to work in a variety of styles, with a focus on realism. They must be able to recreate real world objects that look great and are technically efficient.
Qualifications
- Experienced 3ds Max and Photoshop user
- Experienced in developing low-poly assets for real-time application: Modeling, Unwrapping, Texturing, and Revising
- Experienced in developing high-poly detail meshes for Normal Mapping applications
- Strong traditional art skills; art degree highly desirable
- Recent experience making games and/or MODs
- Must work quickly and professionally; take direction and criticism with aplomb
- Works Well with Peers and Leads
- Experienced Game Player
